Black ink made of pigment and dye (like Higgins Eternal) but waterproof. Its chief characteristic is to resist if the paper is being wetted or if watercolour is painted on top of it. See the water resistance tests in the picture.
Unfortunately, the substance that makes it waterproof (shellac) makes it difficult to write hairlines. Despite the name, it is not ideal for calligraphy.
