Suzuri ink stone with a protective bag made of japanese style textile.

It's the traditional stone of Japanese origin used to dissolve sumi ink with the help of distilled water and a rotating rubbing movement in the upper part of the stone, to allow the ink to flow into the basin from which it is drawn by the brush or nib.
