Schmincke Aqua bronze pigments

Water-soluble aluminium (silver) and bronze (gold) based pigments. They contain a binder (dextrin) so no other glues are required.

They are mixed with water as if they were a watercolor/gouache. It’s best to prepare the solution before starting the work, as some time is needed to fully dissolve the powder in the water.

They can be used as watercolours on paper, even by sprinkling them on other wet colors. They can be added to gouache to give an effect of sparkling gold or silver.
