Suzuri ink stone

Suzuri ink stone. The traditional stone of Chinese origin used to dissolve sumi ink with the help of distilled water and a rotating rubbing movement in the upper part of the stone, to allow the ink to flow into the basin from which it is drawn by the brush or nib.
