Japanese watercolor in stick form produced by Boku, a renowned company from Nara, Japan. Obtained from inorganic pigments of the highest quality, the color dissolves in water like a sumi stick (we recommend using distilled water). A traditional suzuri ink stone or a synthetic (artificial) suzuri ink stone (less expensive) may be used for this. Since the suzuri ink stone is usually used for black, it will be necessary to wash it very well after use or reserve one just for colors.

Rubbing with the usual patient circular movements thus produces a bright color similar to a watercolor but slightly more full-bodied, with the right consistency for the nib. We recommend drying the stick with a cloth after each use and storing it dry in the box. As a precaution, the manufacturer warns to avoid contact with the mouth and nose.
