Water soluble color for making an indigo blue ink
Handwritmic powder inks are suitable for writing and drawing, paper dyeing and painting backgrounds. Being in powder form they are handy and safe to carry compared to a liquid ink. Adding gum arabic isn't necessary, but a few drops can make the ink more viscous when writing with fine pointed nibs. To make an ink of saturated colour, follow the minimum doses indicated in the accompanying explanations. The powders can be mixed together to obtain different hues, e.g. a more purplish or brownish orange, a more greenish blue, a dull yellow (ochre) or more greenish, etc. The ink, once prepared, has a limited shelf life, as there are no preservatives. These powders have great coloring power and make a lot of ink. Note that they are not guaranteed to be lightfast and are not waterproof.
The Handwritmic indigo ink powder is available in two capacities:
• Size M (for those who use a lot of ink or want to paint large backgrounds)
• Size S (for beginners, to test the colors)
