A package for neophytes who want to learn any of the medieval or Renaissance scripts that are written with the broad edged pen. Everything you need to study broad edged pen writing styles with the help of the textbook Calligraphy by the Associazione Calligrafica Italiana.

The set consists of:

• A penholder and a 3 mm wide Brause Bandzug nib. This is an easy-to-use nib that does not require special care. Just dip it in the ink to start writing. Please note that the nib corresponds to the size of the broad-edged pen scripts in the manual, so you will be able to write 1:1 from the templates and instantly verify the result.

• An A4 pad of non-bleeding calligraphy paper.

• Handwritmic deep black ink.

• Smart dinky dip with two empty vials and a pipette.

With the help of the pipette, the black ink can be transferred to one of the two vials that both fit into the wooden base and cannot be tipped over.

In addition, the vial with screw cap is leak-proof and yes, it can also be carried full of ink.

“ La calligrafia" is a valuable handbook, the first to be published in Italy (in 1997), and is still a good, essentially visual source for studying the major scripts. It was created with the intention of giving large models, in the size with which one usually begins calligraphy.

The samples were written by various calligraphers such as Giovanni de Faccio (rustica, uncial, textur, fraktur), Anna Ronchi (Foundational and chancery), James Clough (copperplate) and Monica Dengo (humanistic).
