The two claw pencil grips are not included because their particular shape is only for the most serious cases. Because the pencil grips are suitable for all ages (right- and left-handed) and because fingers, hand sizes, and even writing habits can vary considerably, we recommend having the child try them on and then letting the child choose which one they want. Because they tend to have a fist-like grip, these tools can correct bad habits by encouraging the "tripod" hold (three fingers, thumb, index and middle fingers are involved) instead. The pencil grips can also be beneficial for use by adults undergoing writing re-education programs.
