Thin red penholder. The photo shows the size difference between a standard penholder and the thin penholder. This penholder is suitable for very fine pointed nibs (e.g. Gillott 170 and 303 and Brause EF66B). Also, it is recommended for those using very thin drawing and writing nibs known as "mapping pens." These nibs, which you can use, of course, also to write a very fine copperplate, are smaller in diameter so normal penholders are not suitable.
