Mitchell nibs

Mitchell nibs are square cut nibs. They have a reservoir that must be hooked under the nib.

Reservoirs are universal, but we advise you to buy at least a couple of them, in case you have trouble attaching it to the nib (there may be slight differences in size and shape).

Mitchell nibs should be burned before use, that is, they should be passed quickly over the flame of a lighter to remove the protective lacquer.

Number 0 is very sharp. It’s not the best nib to start your journey in calligraphy. Or you should use a sharpening stone to round the corners.
