Schmincke Designer's gouache

The Schmincke gouache from the HKS Designer's gouache series are high quality gouache and are also suitable for calligraphy, while being less expensive than the Calligraphy series.

We recommend putting some gouache in a tray and adding water with a dropper gradually, as it is crucial to find the right density. If it is too dense it won’t flow. If it is too liquid it won’t be opaque. Gouache is recommended in calligraphy because it provides an opaque surface on both white and black paper. The gouache are guaranteed to last over time even when exposed to light.
